Kenrick was only 12 years old when he started to learn how to mix music and play the guitar. It was not long before he took an interest in and developed skills to produce electronic music. Niels, very much intrigued, visited Kenrick to see how he made tracks. Niels and Kenrick became good friends and were really surprised by the result of their first collaborations and soon the duo Basspunkz was born!.

Basspunkz first tracks ‘’Monster’’ and ‘’Clubs Go Silent’’ received good feedback from friends and followers. As a result, they then decided to send their new song ‘’Pendehas’’ to Sjammienators who released this track as well as “Blade” and “Changes” and several others on ‘Uptempo Is the Tempo’ and then reborn/rebranded ‘My Tempo as The Temp Record’ labels.

After this success Basspunkz became more popular in the Uptempo scene, signing with Darkside Unleashed and releasing also on labels like Offensive Rage. Their tracks like “Hardcore Night”, “Bumble Beast”, “Hear Me” were played by Partyraiser, Trespassed and many more and are modern hardcore hits!
